IELTS Dates and Registration
The IELTS Test can be taken in 14 cities throughout Germany and on up to three test dates per month. Please visit British Council for further information on test dates and registration.
Please note that the oral examination can take place up to 7 days before or after the written examination. If this should happen in your case, you will receive special notification!
Test results are published 13 days after the exam.
IELTS Test Day Procedure
On your test date you will be examined in all four language skills: listening, reading, writing and speaking (as previously stated the oral exam can be held seven days prior to or after the written exam. If this should happen in your case, you will receive special notification). Every month there are up to three test dates available. The results are published two weeks after the test date.
IELTS Test Day – Important Tips!
- Be on time. Allow extra time for your journey (looking for a place to park, train delays etc.)
- On the test day the candidates must show the same ID document that they have sent in with their registration form. Other means of identification will not be accepted.
- Mobile phones must be switched off and are not permitted to be taken into the exam room. Mobiles have to be stored with other personal possessions that are not needed for the test in a cloakroom during the examination.

The current exam fee is 200 €.
