Carl Duisberg Campus - Academic Programs
Since 2004, the Carl Duisberg Campus has conducted and organized various academic study abroad programs predominantly for students at American universities and colleges.
Each academic program is designed in close cooperation with the home institution in terms of timeframe, contents and faculty. The respective university or college approves the program and will provide credit.
The different formats of the programs (see below) are especially designed for American students and their academic calendar. The language of instruction in all program related fields will be English. There is no German language requirement for participation, but in all programs German language training can be offered at different levels.
With an infrastructure of eight locations within Germany, and another eight locations around the world Carl Duisberg Centren is able to offer programs in various regions and cities. Room and board in Germany will be provided by German host families if students are staying more than three weeks. Part of each program are academic field trips within Germany and neighbouring European countries. Various cultural and leisure time activities are as well integrated in the programs.
In general, students from all American colleges and universities are elegible for the programs. Credit transfer is guaranteed.
